It was the vast mansion owned for decades by the Krupp Company that challenged me to fulfil my dreams. As your hosts, we strive to be “the family” in the best tradition of the term. An intimate atmosphere in the hotel and restaurant, high quality at optimal value for money, these are our concerns.

Offering the best in all areas is our goal: whether family or staff members, we all enjoy our work. Without my young and down-to-earth team members, who express their enjoyment and commitment in their service to our guests, my dream would never have come true.

We know that it is not obvious to maintain high standards continuously and with enthusiasm. We are demanding with our staff members, yet we also wish to encourage their development. We hope to expand and develop their skills, knowledge, and motivation.

Located close to Karlsruhe at the edge of the northern Black Forest, the distinctive original villa lies nestled in a 25,000sqm park. It offers the discerning guest the finest décor in 25 double rooms and 5 luxury suites, each exclusively appointed with inlaid Italian furnishings. 

Our guests love the gourmet restaurant (1 Michelin star), the light-flooded pavilion, and the cosy Gute Stuben with its regional specialties that earn it its own Bib Gourmand in the Guide Michelin. The villa’s beautiful salons and modern banquet hall (in the park wing) are available for meetings and parties. We attach great importance to our staff’s wellbeing and to healthy teamwork between all departments.

Cooks begin their careers as commis de cuisine and can advance to kitchen director or restaurant manager (F&B-Manager). They can work in different settings, whether in a restaurant, hotel or spa, cafeteria or even cruise ship. Their training provides them with the ideal conditions to operate an independent hotel or restaurant business.
